Santa Pictures

Luke was so excited to see Santa Claus that he literally RAN to him and tried to pull himself onto his lap! He must have had something very important to tell him. He was probably asking for a little sister for Christmas, let's hope Santa paid attention!

Getting him away from Santa proved to be the difficult part! I had kinda joked with the photographer that I was hoping for the meltdown Santa picture and was a bit disappointed that Luke was so cooperative. We got that meltdown when I took him from his beloved Santa's arms. The photographer suggested a picture of me holding Luke while he screamed and reached out for Santa...funny guy, not quite the picture I had in mind though. In retrospect, I regret not having that picture taken, because I'm sure it was a funny sight.

All the way out of the mall, Luke never took his eyes off of Santa and didn't stop waving and pleading "Dada Dada"(whatever) until we hit the door.

It was a good time.

My boys' shoes

happiness.

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas

While Luke was intrigued with the process of putting the tree up, he wasn't all that impressed with the final outcome. Thus far, he has left it alone...

Time will tell.

Live Long and Prosper

It's a little known fact that I am indeed, part Vulcan.
At rest, my hands just naturally do the Spock thing. You know, this one
It's most prominently seen in my senior pictures; sitting in a chair, hands on the armrests, looking pensive whilst unknowingly throwing Vulcan gang signs. Ah, good times.

So imagine my surprise when I noticed something strangely familiar about this picture
Do you see it?!?! Can it be true? Is Luke really exhibiting some traits of mine instead of Alex? I thought maybe it was just a fluke thing until I got this little gem from Miss Angel's

Yes, he is mine-and we are Vulcan!

Disclaimer:
I would like to add as a side note, I had never seen any thing StarTrek until last year. I am not a fan (however the new movie was okay, because I got popcorn). I even had to Google "vulcan" to see how it was spelled. Maybe in a past life, I was a fan.

Sorting shapes, snuggles, and whatever this is

Luke and I have played a lot with his shape sorter today. It was a lot of fun for everyone.

That is, until he got his hand stuck in the octagon while trying to pull pieces out. There are no pictures, because honestly, it was traumatic for both of us.
He was so mad a the toy he quit playing with it and instead repeatedly threw himself onto his couch. Good times.
Then he apparently raided his binky stash and decided it was time for his THIRD nap today! LOVE THIS BOY!
But not before a quick lovin' for momma! Almost a snuggle, almost.
I don't know what was happening here, but it made me laugh.
Yes, those are bananas on his shirt. He loves him some nanners!

Binkies & Blankies

Luke only gets his binkie at bedtime and the occasional road trip, however, he's usually too busy talking to keep it in his mouth. I think Luke has started hiding his binkies. Like there is some secret binky stash in his room that I just haven't found yet. I know he throws them out of his crib when he wakes up, but where they go, I just don't know.

Recently he has started to show up in the living room when he is tired with his favorite frog/dragon (depends if you ask me or Alex what it is) blankie and binky in tow. He then proceeds to collapse in random places throughout the house. Why mess with sign language when he communicates his needs so well!

Lovin's

This lovey little boy has started giving "lovin's" to us and his toys...mostly his toys. They usually consist of kisses-with tongue- and laying his head on your leg or snuggling a toy to his neck. Here he is lovin' on his new favorite stuffed animal that Grandma and Grandpa T. brought him from Italy.

ah, sweet lovin's

When will I learn?

So APPARENTLY I forgot to close the bathroom door yet again. While I jabbered away on the phone, I assumed the noises of joy I heard from Luke were coming from his bedroom. Since I hadn't seen him in about 15 minutes I decided to check (also, because I heard banging). When I passed the bathroom I noticed him covered in toilet paper. What was a brand new roll this morning is now a cardboard roll. There was toilet paper in the toilet, around the toilet, across the toilet and even in the bathtub. But wait! There's more! I guess so the toilet paper wouldn't be lonely, he decided to throw a magnet in there as well. I have decided to let Alex retrieve that. I understand it's my fault, but I think he would want to share in this, right? While there are pictures of this in existence, they will not be posted (except in my Project 365!) because, really, who wants to see a toilet? Instead I will post this cute picture of Luke and his new hobby; talking on the phone. At least I was on the phone, or it might have ended up in there with the magnet!

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween weekend at Uncle Earl & Auntie Shana's. This itsy-bitsy boy was none too happy be dressed up as an adorable little spider. He did however enjoy seeing the other kids dressed up.

Just when you think

he can't get any cuter......he does.

It seems we still need to work on fattening up those hips!
