Grandparents

We finally remembered to actually take pictures of Grandma Barb & Grandpa Paul!

Have you ever noticed how Luke looks like whoever is holding him? Even the expressions!
And he made a new friend! But he is still not getting one.

Water Baby

Luke went swimming this weekend while in Wichita, and he LOVED it! I don't know why he did. I don't know why he doesn't like little pools. I'm just happy we had a fun day swimming with our little water baby!

He didn't even mind getting dunked. So I dunked him again! And he still didn't mind.

We swam until we were pruney!

Father's Day Weekend

We had a fun weekend with lots of family. Alex's parents came up Friday night for some much needed spoil time with Luke. We went to Crown Center on Saturday and saw a very cool Lego art exhibit and then had a very yummy lunch, and then ice cream and popcorn for dinner! Awesome...

On Sunday, my parents, my brother & sister-in-law, and my niece and nephew came up for lunch. We spent a bit of time outside, before we realized it was blazin' hot!
Luke & Grandpa GIt wasn't too hot for this little boy to play!
Or for this beautiful girl to make daisy chains
And of course, Grandma & Grandpa T. left without getting pictures...so here's a picture. I'll be sure to put it in Luke's baby book :)
Luke finished his day with some fun tubby time
where he kicked and splashedand tried to escape! So I put the camera down to catch this slippery bugger.

The Unsinkable Luker Brown

Miss Angel was kind enough to send me these fabulous photos of my darling boy enjoying a cool dip in the pool. They made me laugh out loud. And every time I see them, even think about them, I chuckle. Hopefully, someday he will enjoy the swimming pool, or at least tolerate it!This Unsinkable boy is saving himself!

I love how he's holding on to his best buddy Matthew for dear life!

Fun with Photoshop

Photoshop is hard! I should probably review the tutorials... This took me well over an hour to accomplish by just guessing what the icons meant. I'm pleased with my first attempt. Of course, how could a picture of this boy not turn out fabulous!?

I spy something cute.

Where's Luker???

Since he loves to roll under the coffee table, we decided to pad the bottom edge with pipe insulation (good call Lex) so that he would stop smacking his head on it. People, I am serious about the helmet, have you seen this. Genius!

Surely there is a support group for this

I am sure there is, and don't call me Shirley.

You know what these are?

That's right! It's 287 pictures, mostly of Luke. I have been neglecting my Project 365, only in the sense that I have not been printing my pictures. As you can see, I have definitely been taking the pictures. The sad thing is, these 287 pictures are from the past 6 weeks. Yeah, that's right.

You know what these are?

These are the 287 pictures, PLUS the 32 that I realized I had not printed from another week. So on average, my easy peasy assignment of 1 picture a day is averaging 6.51 pictures a day. That ain't bad. However, I did just check, and my PhotoShop Elements should be arriving in the mail today, so that average will definitely increase.

So, while my darling son sleeps today, I will be doing this

You'll notice there is nothing written for these photos. I am about 6 weeks behind on that. But come on, I could write "Another adorable picture of Luke" on each one if I had to.

I need help...

Photo shoot 6,281

Luke humored me with yet another photo shoot so that I could try out my new lens! Such a cooperative subject.

Anyone notice a trend with the blocks...

My Happy Boy.

My Sweet Boy.

My Sleepy Boy.

Baby Proofing 101

We got most of our baby proofing done this weekend. As you can see, Luke was a big help to his dad in installing the baby gate.

After all the locks, outlet covers, gate and corner bumpers, I think it would have been easier to just put a helmet and some goggles on Luke and hope for the best. After every incident of Alex and I forgetting about the new locks and not being able to get into a cabinet we would say "He's worth it, right?" And yes Luke, you are! After all that work, Luke was so exhausted he fell asleep drinking his bottle. Luckily for me, this meant I got to hold him. Have I mentioned he won't let me snuggle him anymore...He's too busy for snuggle time with his mother...so sad.

Perfection

Can you believe that 8 months ago, this little boy

looked like this?I sure can't! Time is going so fast and it seems like Luke is changing at an even faster pace! And even though Mr. Independent won't snuggle with me anymore, I will continue to try to force him to. And even though he says "da da da da da" all day long, I will continue to sound like an idiot saying "ma ma ma ma" all day back to him- to his giddy laughter. He is trying so hard to crawl! It's sad to watch how frustrated he gets as he scoots further and further away from the object of his desire. And we have still yet to find a food he doesn't LOVE! He's such a little foodie. Yes indeed, he is more perfect than we thought 8 short months ago!

I see his dad in his eyes...literally, if you look close, you can see Alex's reflection.

Such a happy boy! And why so happy? Because he sees his dad and he knows this

is about to happen!

As wonderful and happy as he is, this baby
does actually resurface every once in awhile.Ah, perfection!
