An Abundance of Luke

On a rare, almost comfortable, afternoon we took Luke to the park. He loves going down the "big slide" and has no fear. AT. ALL.

He exhibited excellent balance.
And what's better than a swing?

Perhaps a swing with a view of a front loader!
And even better, being pushed by your favorite guy while a front loader passes in front of you and an airplane flies overhead (plane not visible)!Best park day EVER!

I see Paris. I see France...

I see Claire Bear's underpants!

Train Day

We took Luke (and Claire) to Kansas City for the weekend and decided to have a "Train Day". We got in Friday night just as the storm hit. So no swimming for Luker. What is one to do in a hotel room with no TV because the storm knocked the signal? Enact the "Jumping on Hotel Beds is Allowed" policy. And boy did he jump!Until he discovered the closet which took up a great deal of the evening.

Man, he needed that hair cut!

We got up bright and early and got Luke's hair cut-vomiting included and then headed to Union Station!

Luke got to ride c0-pilot!
He LOVED the miniature trains! Unfortunately, the lighting was too bad to get some good pictures. But trust me, he LOVED it!
Then we played with toys in the gift shop until someone almost lost an eye.
Then we stopped.
Luke showed his train to the dinosaur.
I think he was a little scared of the BIG train.
Then to top it all off, we went to Fritz's for lunch.
And french fries dipped in chocolate milkshakes. Yeah, he's my son.It was a great day!

My Luke

Luke is losing interest in having his picture taken. He would prefer to take the picture himself and he thinks he can see the picture if he looks in the lens. Closely. So most pictures start off okay and the he heads straight for the camera.Yeah, that's dirt all over his face and mouth. Yummy.

I can not tell you how much this little boy looks like my brother in this picture!

Love him.

Jumparoo!

Claire fits in her jumper! YAY! Actually, she is tall enough for the jumper. She doesn't "fit" unless she has three blankets and a pillow behind her, but it's progress. I remember how much more stuff I was able to get done when Luke was in this jumper! Hopefully, it will be the same with Claire. At least I don't have to worry about Luke stepping on her anymore-only Shaken Baby Syndrome since he really, really, REALLY wants to bounce her. We're working on it.She loves all the new toys to play with.
Luke is equally giddy.
She was fascinated with this sun.

Good times.

Mommy's Assistant

It seems Luke's quest to "help" extends to photos as well. He was MORE than willing to "help" and had some definite opinions on lighting and poses. Good work Buddy! (why is this underlined?)

Claire didn't seem to mind too much.
Eventually he gave up and decided to play with some dirt.
We sure did miss him!

Almost 4 months

...I needed a reason for another photo shoot.

Mommy's Helper

Luke's new phrase this week is "I help" and boy does he!
Thank for giving Mommy a coffee break!

The 20 Minute Diaper Change

What started off as a simple diaper change, turned into so much more! Claire started flirting something fierce, so I had no choice but to slap a hat on her (thanks Auntie Amy) and start shooting!

Ah, I adore her.
