Much like swimming pools and grass, Luke hated the beach. He hated the sand. He hated the cold Pacific water. And, he hated his parents who put him in both.
Oh the humanity!!
He kept his feet in the air in an attempt to prevent them from touching the water. It was almost sad, and I'm sure under all of our laughter, there was sadness.

LOL, this was Karissa's first reaction to the beach as well. She was so loud about it that two days later she was recognized by strangers in an elevator as "The girl who hated the sand."
Karissa hated it too. We have similar pics from her first trip to CA at about the same age. Priceless!-Heather
